These identification cards will help you identify marine pests. They show the identifying features of particular pests and where you are likely to find them. They also help you distinguish pests from local native species that may have a similar appearance.

Pests already present in Australia

These are pests that you might find in your local waterway. Check out the interactive map to find out if any of these pests are in your local area.  

If you sight any of these pests in areas not shown on the map or on the card, please report it to your local marine authority.

Pests not yet in Australia

The following pests have not yet established in Australia.  If you see any of these pests, please report it immediately to your local authority. You may prevent a new pest from establishing in Australian waters.
