Taking action against marine pests

Governments, marine industry and other groups are actively working to stop the spread of marine pests in Australia. Case studies of some of this work are presented below.

"Keeping marine pests out of my fishing grounds"

This project communicated management measures that individual fishers can take to help keep marine pests out of their fishing grounds and ports.

Keep your boat clean to stop marine pests

This Boating Industry Association project worked with recreational boaters in Port Phillip Bay, Victoria, to demonstrate how simple boat cleaning practices can help stop marine pests from spreading around the Australian coastline.

Monitoring for marine pests in the Northern Territory
