Biofouling management guidelines released

A new resource is now available to help vessel operators manage biofouling on their vessels.

A series of online resources has been released describing practical methods to reduce biofouling on vessels. These resources are specific to the type of vessel and include:

These guidelines are published by the National System for the Prevention and Management of Marine Pest Incursions  as a tool to help vessel operators reduce biofouling on their vessel and help reduce the spread of marine pests around the Australian coastline.

Each guideline has been developed in consultation with relevant industry specialists to ensure the management practices are practical and effective.
